The techniques I use are
simple, easy and effective.
They don’t involve
any drugs or supplements.
One of the main techniques
I use is called EFT
(Emotional Freedom
Techniques,) and was
developed by Gary Craig in
the early 1990's. If you
are familiar with
acupuncture, this technique
is like an emotional form
of acupuncture -- without
the needles. Acupuncture
works with physical
symptoms, EFT works with
the emotions.
How Does This
Work?
Acupuncture is part of
Traditional Chinese
Medicine, which has been
used for over 5,000 years.
It’s based on the
understanding that the body
has energy pathways, called
meridians, that affect a
person’s physical,
emotional and mental
health. Just like you have
veins and arteries carrying
blood to all parts of your
body, you also have energy
pathways that carry energy
to all parts of your body.
When one of these pathways
gets blocked, it causes a
disruption in your physical
body or your emotional or
mental states.
One of the ways these
pathways can be blocked is
by a stressful or traumatic
event. Picture a lamp
that’s plugged into
the wall and turned on. If
you place a heavy bookcase
on the cord, the weight of
the bookcase will
eventually degrade the
wire, the electricity
won’t flow the way it
should and the light will
start flickering or go out.
If remove the weight and
repair the cord, the light
shines normally again.
A Specific
Example
Let’s walk through an
example of how this works
with EFT. A stressful event
happens, say you lose your
job. This event causes a
block or disruption in your
energy system. (This is
like the bookcase being put
on the lamp cord.)
This disruption in your
energy system creates
negative emotions like
fear, sadness and anger, as
well as negative thoughts
such as: “How will I
pay my bills?” or,
“What if I lose my
house?” or,
“How will I feed my
kids?” These
emotional charges (the
weight of the bookcase)
cause the energy pathways
(the cord) to eventually
degrade. If the pathways
are not cleared they can
cause even more negative
emotions like depression or
despair.
By tapping on certain
points on the energy
pathways, EFT clears your
pathway (the cord is
repaired) and removes the
emotional charge (the
weight of the bookcase), so
your energy flows freely
and you feel normal,
peaceful, happy (the light
shines normally).
The event hasn’t
changed and you still have
memories of the experience,
but now your energy is
flowing freely and
you’re no longer
worried and stressed. From
this place of feeling
normal and confident, you
are better able to handle
the problem.
If this is new to you, you
may have one of several
reactions. To some people,
it will just make sense.
Others may find it
confusing or strange. The
good thing is, you
don’t have to
understand it or believe it
for this to work.
It’s the same with a
light. Even if you
don’t understand
exactly how electricity
works, the light still goes
on when you turn on the
switch.
If this seems like it might
be right for you,
don’t worry about
your mind not understanding
it. Just trust yourself and
do what feels right. I
offer a simple, no-risk
guarantee so people will
feel comfortable trying it.
What’s
Next
If this all makes sense to
you and you’re ready
to try it out, go to the
Contact
page. You can decide if
you’d like to try out
a workshop or a private
consultation.
Or, if you want to learn
about EFT, take a look at
Gary
Craig’s EFT
website. There is
information there about how
to do the EFT if you want
to try it out yourself.
People who do it themselves
have about a 50% success
rate clearing specific
issues with no training at
all.
